GETTING READY FOR HOCKEY EY The menit'ers of the Exeter Zurich Hockey Club met at Boyle's barber shop on Tuesday evening for the pur- pose of devising ways and means of raising money to finance the hockey season of 1920.21. After discussion. it was resolved to ask those taking part in "Facing the Music" to put the play on in Hensall on Dee. 2nd. It was suggested that further money be rafted by popular subscriptions and Messrs, Boyle, Idarness and. Senior were appointed to ogre for this mat- ter. There are considerable. turnips still in the fields, HARD TIME SOCIAL The members of Main St. Epworth League were up against hard times at their social evening on Tuesday. The leaguers were dressei in lard time costumes and penalties were im- posed for wearing of Jewelry, silks or other wearing apparel which. the well dressed young peoples demand in this age, A court of trial was held', Messrs. Win, Ward. and G, blawson' acting as judges. Numerous fines were imposed. A splendid musical and literary program was given by, members of the league assisted by Misses Lena Coates and Blanch Sen- ior.
