Westlake, of Wyoming, visited over the week -end with Mr. Westlake's mother. The anniversary of Main Street Methodist church neat Sunday promises to be of unusual interest. Miss Agnes Hamilton was in Lon don Wednesday attending the funer- al of her cousin, Miss Eva P. Hamil- ton. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Hewitt have returned from Kitchener and are oc- cuping the rooms in McDonnell block. Mr. Reginald Hodgins, of Parkhill has taken over the Cockshut imple- ment ware rooms here, recently con- ducted by Mr. J. C. Kestle. Mr. 3. W. Taylor, of the, Taylor Tire Shop, has purchased from Mrs. Cottle the house on Ann St. now' oc- cupied by Mr. Horner Bagshaw. Mrs. Chas. Birney has returned home after visiting in Parkhill. She was called. to Wyoming on Monday to attend the funeral of a cousin. The Trinity Methodist church,, Stratford, have invited Rev. J. E. Holmes, their pastor, back for a third year at an increase of $100 in salary. Mr. Holmes accecpted. Mr. Will Crocker, who has been visiting 'relatives in Exeter for the past month, left this week to visit in London.for a week before return- ing to his home in Toronto. Rev. J. 0. L. Spracklin the preach- er at Main St. Anniversary next Sun- day, was fully exonerated by the Coroner's jury, which inquired into the unfortunate death of Beverley Trumble. Mr. John Bell reports picking sev- eral ripe strawberries from his patch on Tuesday and in addition to the ripe ones there were a number of green berries. One of the ripe ber- ries measured about five inches in circumference. Among those from out of town who were present at the Newell -Bis- sett wedding on Saturday last were Mr. R. C. Bisestt, of Chatham; Mrs. Edwin Irwin, of London. Mr. Arthnr Newell, Miss Olive Newell, Miss Dun- seith, Mr. Amel Raeburg, Mr. McKay and Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Livingstone and daughter of Stratford. • Mr. J. C: Kestle moved his .house- hold effects to London Township on Tuesday where be intends going on a farm with his brother-in-law. He sold his residence on Andrew St. to Mrs. J. R. Mollard, of Grand Bend, Who will occupy it with her mother, Mrs, Banes, of Crediton. At the convention of the Ontario Association of Religious Education held in St. Catharines last week Mr. W. G. Medd, of town, was honored in being 'elected president. Mr. Medd. has been untiring in his devotion to Sunday School work in South Huron and has also been a member of the Provincial Executive for many years. The honor is well "conferred..
