The play is justa series of quick portrayals of the -
comic strip ,Peanuts, adapted by. Clark Gesner from: the,
Charles : Schulz ` .favorite. Appearing on stage were
Charlie $'gown• played' by, Davide Dtr't'ibar;.°Lanus, Jirri.-
Saar; Lucy, Alicia' Jefteiny;. Patty, Janet "Thorpe;
Snogpy Robert E Landar; grid Schroeder, Ed Taylor.

and inovative The stage' in bright basic reds, greens,
yellows and: braes were just:iiect'• r tie ah,ow. The
- costuming:was simple but exactly right for the Peanuts
gang. The lighting,' mostly direct, was occasionally
dramatic and :effective, casting interesting shadows on,
• the sky backdrop at the rear orthe'stage.
Trap --performance• award goes to Alicia Jeffery,' as• the
loud,;nd tippy Lucy whose brash honesty, sets her apart
as oiieof. Schul'i'' 'mos, owed Cartoon characters:MS.
Jeffery :had a husky voice which boorxied appropriately
. above the others on-stage.:Her mouth`contortions were as:
similar to Lucy's as any human's could 'be and heir
leaning o-v:e"r„ nose -to nose •with the: character` she was
addressing•, was ,a' vivid demonstration: that' charac- •
terizaition of the Lucy of the comics was alive on stage at
Huron Country.P.layhous.e,
Lucy's two solo.numhers, Schroeder.: and..Lit.tle_Known,.,
•Faces'wereexcellently done. •She also stole the scene in
The Book Reporf. In all, the performance of Ms. Jeffery
was truly exciting. , -
. .Running a close second' was- Robert E • Landar as
Snoopy, ypY, the Percept) a ,• pooch whQ rests atop his.dog
house in Peanuts, and.`:almost always •has'all the.;good
lines. The most entertaining number in the enti-,;„reshow, '
was%performed by Mr. Landar "when ate portrayed a
-deliriously happy'Snoopy in Suppertime..Snoopy,,given
to dramatics anyway, waY1 com 1 telY
