ing for several days in Windsor.
Mr. Harper Rivers, visitedhis par-

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Welsh spent
a few days in Sarnia last week.
Mrs. (Rev.) McAllister is visiting
her son and daughter-in-law in Ot-
tawa.
Miss •May Jones has returned
home after spending a few • days in
Hamilton.

three cases in Police Court there.
The condition' of Dr. Roy Farmer
of London, is improving and he now
has a good chance for recvovery. .

fined to his bed last week owing to
illness, is able to be around again.,

ly underwent an operation at Cavett
Manse is making satisfactory im-

church on Sunday last in a very ac
ceptable manner.

panied by his son Frank, wife an
child, of Forest, viisted with friend

position with the Canadian Bank of
Commerce.
Wm. Kay, of Farquhar has leased
his farm for a number of years to
John Selves, Jr., of near Hensall.
Mr. Kay will probably retire to Lon-
don.
Dr. and Mrs. Routledge and family
of Zurich, attended. the Routledge-
Rivers wedding on Saturday, Miss
Ida Routledge remaining over the

day for their home.
Reeve B. W. F. Beavers has mov-
ed into his. new residence, corner
of Blain and Gidley streets. The
house is a handsome red brick bun-
galow and is admired by everyone.
Mr. Frank McDonald, . wife and
family, of Leamington, Mr. Peter
Robertson, wife and family, and Mr.
Jas. McDonald, of Stratford visited
their sister, Mrs. T. G. Creech over
the weekend.

of construction in Exeter are nearing
the stage of completion but owing
to the scarcity of labor it will be.
some time before they are finished.
The owners are beginning to get
anxious as the fall is coming on.
Mr. W. L. Clarke, of Leamington,
who is connected with the Social
Service •branch of the Methodist
cloirch,is conducting services for
boys and girls in Main St. Methodist
church this Week. Services are held
at 4 p.m, and in the evening and:
are fairly well attended: Mr. Clarke
has a message for the boys and girls
that should bear fruitful results
