A -.considerable amount of time was taken up in organizing . the summer student ' employinent program (formerly SWEEP) whichwr11 'once again'` be carried out by the Authority. • This year the name. of this 'provincially funded .program will be' known. as. EX PERIENCE '76(Program,' 130). Due to large budget cuts in all government ministries, the program will not be able to'operateon as large a scale as in the past. Additional student4 will be hired. However, the length of employment will be shor- tened to 7 froth- 10 weeks for labourers 'anOE to 14 .from 16 weeks for the technical staff. A total of 32 people will be hired by the Authority under the program including a technical staff of four. .Projects to be undertaken by. the ' students include cleanup of the Gorrie and Brussels Mills, 4nagement of the Plantation at. the `Galbraith Conservation, Area and various municipal projects' ;• The Conservation Areas -- A5Ivi.s_ory ..Board and_ the. •„Reforestation,• Land Use and' •Wildlife Advisory Board.both met within the past month. ..
