A Food Symposium held

many -of the right questions;
about world- food- supplies- but '
it didn't ask' the most •itn

cording o Gordon- Hill,
president of the Ontario
,Federation of Agriculture; -
"How much. are we willing

crowd of farmers, agri-
businessmen; .academics,
government ent officials and
consumers.
Mr: Beeler said he felt the
conference was a success, not
only in .terms of numbers
attending but in getting the
message across that people
here in,Canada need another
look at the yvorld...situation
from a "satisfied position".
"It's time for a, different
type, of thinking." tom -
merited Mr. Beller, "We must
move to a. stage where we
think in bigger terms.
'•'Mr:.Beeler said he felt that
collective discussion between
all levels of government and
all segments of society were
necessary.
`!The burden must be
shared by all of society." said
Mr. Beeler. "We can't expect
the farmer to be kept as the

"How °much are we willing
