MILLINERY OPENINGS
On Friday and Saturday last the
new fall millinery creations were
open for inspection. The millinery bolsi
nese in Exeter 'las undergone a change
It has aeon the ctu;+tom in town to
run this /business in corneetion with
some of the general Is -stores but these
stores !Lave now gone oat of this busi-
nesw and instead three millinery!
stores; now look after the necessities
of the ladies in that line, Miss Me
Donald purchased '.the bulsiness and.
Taney goods of Muss 'Morlock and to-
gether witu her assistant are carry-
ing on this business. Miss' Curliss has
opened up a store in the McDonald
block 'formerly occupied by George
Manson !while Mies 'Armstrong has
a`iso opened up a store in the build-
ing ire -modelled by M.r. Lawson. These
places -were the center of attraction
to the ladies on Friday tend Saturday
last as west as both 'days, of the, Fair,
Our artistic taste and sentiment is
not sufficiently developed to attempt
any 'descriptions of the new creations
but judging from the expression of
some of the ladies who .have sized
up the different establishments we
would say that they come in for a
good 'deal of praise. One .young! lady
:said "I'm simply bugs over the new
hats."
