implements Will, within forty eight
tours of''sunlset on June 11th, find.
themselves, their instruments and

We have or Iate been subject to
rather cruel treatment at the hands
of the weather god. We are even
beginning to lose patience and say
something we shouldn't nay at aur
weather profit Hicks when he ,fore-
casts the atones that aro yet to be.
The storms for the past few weeks
have not only been frequent and
delayed the sowing of the grain but
have :wrought great damage by
their ferocious character.
Although we have not suffered here
so 'badly as 'some have in many loc-
alitiesyet seine places in town have
been affected. During last Friday's
storm Mr: David Mack's Douse was
struck at' the roof', smen ing a
window or two and rinding its way to
to the cellar. Mi. Gourd's store was
also struck, the lightning entered
through thea screen; door at the back
of the building. It found its way to
the dining•room where it dispursed
in all directions. The hydro station
was also struck, slight damage bee
ing done..
