Biting holes ' in cover means
hampster may need air, vet says
Dear Adviser,
I have a problem with my hampster.
Whenever you put a blanket over him at
night, when you wake up it has a hole in it.
Your friend,
Doug
Dear Doug.
I talked with a Vet, he said not to put the
blanket on, as he may want air and so he
bites a hole in it. Try putting leaves or straw
in his cage and he'll make a nest and crawl
under it.

Dear Adviser,
I have a problem with my sister. At night I
have my getto blaster on, and she tells me to
turn it up, so I do, and I get in trouble from
my Mom for turning it up. What should I do?
Your friend,
H.M.
Dear HAI.,
Don't listen to her and you won't get the
blame. and next time she does that tell her
to turn it up herself.
Dear Advisor,
I have a problem with my dog. He always

should I do?
Your friend,
Doug
Dear Doug,
You should take your dog out at special
times every day. Get him in the habit of do-
ing that so he won't bother you at different
. times.

If you have a problem, I'd like to hear
from you. Drop your letter into the Signal

Women journey through scriptures
Forty-one ladies were present when the
Evening Unit of North Street United
Church met for their October meeting.
Edna Looker and her group were in
charge. Isobel Rittinger took the group on
a journey through the Scriptures, relating
to our up -coming Festival of Faith through
to Pentecost and returning to -Thanksgiv-
ing Day".
Since the Unit has been studying various
Indian cultures from several countries,
Bernice Mcllwain read an interesting arti-
cle "'Lets Talk Indian', closing with a
Sioux prayer.
Rev. Kathi Urbasik, guest speaker,
chose as her subject. "Our' Response To
Our Festival of Faith".
Win Ferris was in charge of the business
portion of the meeting.
What evil lurks under the surface
from page IA
There was a boa constrictor in that
hole. a dead one with a big grin and tag
on his tail that said -Show business was
my life."
There was a beautiful sand beach down
there in the shape of Lake Erie and a
manufacturer's blueprint for something
called a •'Bricklin,'•
There were files upon files marked
•Native Rights" and • *Arctic Sovereigni-
ty" and -Fishing Quotas". There was a
book entitled "Ethics in Federal
Politics" that appeared never to have
n
been opened.
There was a yellow V-neck sweater
with a green crest on the front that read
•'America's Team -12 Horse Ale". The
sweater was mine. I'd misplaced it
somewhere last year.
I reached for the sweater jamming my
baby finger in the ground. I woke up. I
woke Malcolm. I put a stone over the
hole, carried Malcolm home and we had
supper.
If anyone has found a yellow V-neck
sweater with a green crest on the front,
size large, could the let me know. Thank
you. .
