The Goderich Midgets split a pair of
Shamrock League games on the weekend,
hammering Belmont 7-3 in Belmont Fri-
day and losing a tough 4-3 decision at home
Saturday.
In the game , in Belmont Friday;
Goderich led 2-1 after one period, increas-
ed the lead to 5-2 after two periods and then
outscored Belmont 2-1in the final period to
produce the 7-3 final.

spark for Goderich scoring three goals and
assisting on two others for a five -point ef-
fort. He scored the first two goals of the
game just one minute apart to boost

to Belmont last Friday and played host to
Lambeth here on Saturday Friday's ac-
tion saw the team gain a 3-3 tie with a goal
by Shawn Talbot assisted by Jeff Hodge
and Chris O'Neill with only eight seconds
remaining in the game.. First period goals
by Hodge and Jean-Paul Cauchi stood up
' until Belmont knotted the score by the end
of the second.
In the third period Belmont took the lead
with what appeared to be the winning goal
until goalie Bob Lumley was pulled in
favour of an extra attacker which resulted
m the tying goal.
In Saturday's game the Bantam's lost a
well played game 4-2 to Lambeth.

through the final period only to watch
Lambeth score three straight goals, the
winner with just 30 seconds • left in the
game, to steal a 4-3 victory.
