They have Grade 1 partners in Mrs. Sharon Brown's class and, they asked them some opinions - about life at Robertson School. Here are some of the delightful replies made by our own 5 and 6 -year-olds. - When asked the question "What- do you like to do the best at school?" Amanda Wheeler says she likes to play tag' and blocks; Amanda Fowler likes to play at the water renter and spell words; Shaunacy Waller likes to play with play dough and read books. The students next chose what activity they liked best. Robert Spittal likes puppets and the gymn. Amanda Ottowell likes the water center and Sarah Wannamaker goes to -the typing center. Kyle Vandenburgh likes the computer and Robbie Corrigan en- joys blocks and the computer. A favourite question was "What do you like to play outside?" Ben Dykstra likes to play on the equipment and play soccer. Melissa Standen likes to play baseball. Stephanie Cloet likes to play on the big slide and the teeter, totters and Joey Snowden likes to play with his older brother. The children were then asked what they thought their teacher, the librarian and their principal did at school. _ Niki Graf says her teacher reads stories, Colleen McCaulay says her teacher writes on the board and we all look at the calendar. Aaron Lawrence thinks his teacher "teacher us to read" and Chris Fielder says "she works and tells stories." To explain the principal's role in school Stacey Armstrong says "he tells an- nouncements" Jaime Hoy thinks "he takes - care - of things that are lost." Kevin Venkiteswaren knows that he works at "keeping us informed" and Jessica Rudyk says "he works at the school but he doesn't really own it." Justin Gavin think s the librarian is "nice and reads books." Jeff Livesey says "She reads to us" and Michael Mathers say "the librarian reads books, works, talks and helps us." It is certainly illuminating to see school life through the eyes of the very young.
