Many provide tranaportat on for the men and women who use t e Centre. Gertrude Postma has been driver at the Huron Centre since 1977. In the past 10 years she as recorded thousands of .miles annually in her volun eer work, driving clients to andfrom t e centre. Muriel Jones of Clinton is one of the oldest volunteer workers at he Centre. The octogenarian has se ,ed on the board of directors for the Hugon Centre and comes in as a day volunteer. Ruth Malkus of Seaforth has been recognized as another *standing volunteer at the Huron Centre. She works with the Stroke Club each Wednesday. The Huron Cent 'e has; some 52 volunteers from all parts 1 of Huron County. Some work one day a week, others help on seveiral days Some are drivers, some drive and sta5i to help for the day, some . help with lspecial -ac- tivities such as exercises,crafts and games, kitchen duties and Meals. Among the dozens of people who help are Edwin Zeale, Sharon La Croix, Willa Rathwell, Jim Alloway, Liz Lawson, Bob Groves, Marion Hill and Bob Thomp- son.
