Connelly, who was presi- dent of the Goderich club in 1974-75, also served in every executive position, with the exception of treasurer over the years. On hand to make the presentation of the life membership plaque to Stan were; Steve Grose, Deputy Governor, Zone K; Stan Connelly Larry (.'adotte, Governor, District One and Mark Fisher, Goderich Kinsmen President. Stan joins an elite group of men athu_ha r con- tributed greatly to Kinsmen over the last five decades. Other Ill!. membership recipients have included; Pat Patterson, Cord Ban- nister, Frank Skelton, Harold Hibbert, Bill Kirke\, Dow, Cruickshank, Bob McDougall, and Ray Cook. AIDS virus has a rare capability of being in the system of an individual and not showing any signs of illness' for a lengthy period of time; or there's a possibility of no illness at all. These unfor- tunately are carriers. and can infect other people. Would it not be logical -to submit themselves to medical authorities for the purpose of research'? It was an .evening en- joyed by all present. . The System Cross Country Meet was held for the students of all the separate schools in Huron and Perth on Oct. 14th in Benmiller. St. Joseph's Kingsbridge had students participating at every level and they are to be congratulated on their hard work and fine efforts. Ben Brophy brought home the only medal for Kingsbridge with his 3rd place finish in the Grade 3/4 boys event. Congratulations Ben!' On Oct. 16th Ruth Linton from the Huron County Health Unit gave the first of two ,lessons to the Grade 7/8 class on the topic's of puberty and heredity. All the classes are now . involved in Hallowe'en related activities and are preparing for the day itself.
