By 1948 the firm had a new name, The Edward
Coal Co. And the move was on.
1952 marked the next milestone as Clayton
Edward teamed -up with Shell to become
distributors for Shell Fuels. The move was on.
There was no looking back. 21 years later (1973)
Don Edward purchased the
business from his father and
the rest is, as they say, history.

TIoday, the move is on.
t is Fall. A time that
signals change and progression
forward.
It is also, however, a time of
Thanksgiving. A time to stop.
To reflect. To give thanks.
A good time to be awarded a
plaque in recognition of 35
years of friendly business
relations with Shell and service to the public. An
award accepted from Shell by Mrs. Clayton Edward
and a very proud son.
A good time to recognize our valued staff, whom
we are very proud of. A terrific bunch who go the
extra mile, time and time again.
But, most important of all, we stop to recognize
our valued customers, past and present, and to give
a very special thanks for your trust, friendship and
patronage.
In thanks to all, our commitment remains... The
Move Is On.
