HOLMESVILLE - Worship service was held Sunday morning in Holmesville United Church with Rev. Jim Bechtel officiating. Wayne Tebbutt and Douglas Norman received the offering. There will be Holy Baptism on October 4 at 9:45 a.m. in Holmesville United Church. On September 28, the West Huron Regional meeting will be held at Trinity Church, Ashfield. Enterprising Seniors News The Enterprising Seniors held their meeting Thursday evening in the communi- ty centre. - Gertrude Trewartha played the piano for the opening. Alice Porter gave a report on the, executive meeting held in the community centre. - John Deeves was present and spoke on the fall rally to be held . October 14 in the Goderich Township Community Centre. Helen Lindsay gave the treasurer's report, social committee will be in charge of lunch for the rally. Marion Powell gave the card report. Bla b - the Deeves thanked. the group for their flowers. Hazel McCreath reported at least four quilts to be quilted this winter. The next meeting October 1 at 8 p.m. The meeting closed and Hazel McCreath and Alice Porter led the group in a game of definitioi • with--th€ 1,a-dtos emerging- -as winners.
