Every division was tight - in fact, all three divisions had a three 'way tie. We knew last week that A division could produce an ugly situation if five unlikely things happened. Chances were remote, but it could happen! As most of you are aware, lady luck was against the Brewster, and it did happen! Canadian Tire, Chrysler and Coyotes are locked in a circular tie for 3rd, 4th and 5th. The elimination round cannot begin until this has been resolved. This will happen Tues- day at the Homerdome in Benmiller, as all three teams will battle each other in a slugfest to decide which team is out. There will be no ties; mercy or time limit. Should be a great night of ball. B division saw five teams separated -by only two points, however the ties were easily broken based on who beat who',' In the only game played so far, Parkhouse Raiders outlasted Suncoast Restaurant in a 20-17 battle at Benmiller that didn't end until midnight! The Chiefs will face ,Dear- born in the other series, set to begin Sunday. C division also had a three way circular tie but all teams involved in the tie qualified for the, next round. Run differen- tial was used to determine position. Mur- phys Law was the lowest so they became C4 and in the first game of the series, were blown away 37-10 by. the hot Lakeview Rancher team. Chisholm TV will host Lit- tle Bowl in the other series. Congratulations are extended to the 12 teams that have been eliminated. You made the battles close. Six more teams will join you by the end of this week. Tune in next week for the scores of semi final ac- tion and a report of Monday .night's general league meeting! P.S. Sorry guys, I almost forgot the promised predictions. Here goes - just for fun. . The A division mini round will see Cana- dian Tire eliminated. Chrylser will take third and defeat Bulldogs in three. Coyotes will lose two straight to Ideal Supply and then Ideal will take Chrysler in three for thechampionship. In B division, the fourth place ,DearbQrn Steelers will top the Chiefs in two straight then advance to win the title in three over Parkhouse Raiders, who should beat the injured. and slumping Suncoast Squad in three. Say something nice about your mother-in-law to show your wife your transformation to a model- husband is now complete. As a word of caution don't go overboard and do something silly like suggesting she invite her mother for a visit. Wives can be very perceptive. If All Else Fails If all else, fails try doing or saying the following: Buy another TV with headphones. Tell her Michael J. Fox is doing the half- time show. Say watching the Canadiens and Expos helps your French. A couple of Bon Jours and S'il vous plaits will help. David Peterson said I could watch it. Tell her she has to see this new beer commercial -it's so funny. No thats not it. It will be on soon. Trust me. Athletes have nice buns you know. Honey, there is something here for •everyone. I bet the mortgage on tnls game and it is in your best interest to root for the Buffallo Bills too. Bribe your wife, offer her money, offer to do the dishes, offer to look after the kids- you like football don't you Suzie- even offer to support her Bingo habit. Any addiction is a terrible thing. Men with a severe dependency will say and do just about anything. I am not recommen- ding you lie to your wife only that you stretch the truth to unrecognizable dimen- sions. After all, do you want to miss the Giants -Bears game, of course not. Spoonerisms: It is nice to see the Toronto Maple Leafs are trying to get skill players. They recently traded defenceman Bill Root for Dave Semenko. I heard through the grapevine that Dave -Tiger" Williams is available and that Dan Maloney is con- sidering coming out of. retic ment. Start calling these guys the Carlton St. Com- mandos. ' With Al Secord, Wendel Clark and Semenko coming over the boards it won't be a game, it will be a seek and destroy mission. Who cares who wins.
