Rabies clinic
to continue
The Huron County Veterinarians Associa-
tion has agreed to a fee cf $6 "plus con-
sumables", the county's acting medical of-
ficer of health, Dr. Janes McGregor
reported to county council at its regular
September session in Goderich.
Dr: McGregor made the announcement
during presentation of the board of health
report to council.
As a'result of aSS ptember 2 meeting bet-
ween the association chairman 'and
representatives from the Ministry of
Health, Dr. McGregor said the association
has agreed to continue the ., compulsory
rabies. clinics as before for the $6 -plus -
consumables fee.
The association had been proposing to in-
crease the fee to $15 from the $6 it had been
charging up. However, the board of health
objected to the increase and had been
prepared to withdraw from the compulsory
program should the association carry
through on its proposal for the fee increase.
However, negotiations at the September 2
meeting resulted in the compromise, Dr.
McGregor said.
