(photo by Ted Spooner) Kincardine golfer wins ladies invitational tournament at Sunset BY ROZ ELLIOTT Amidst constant drizzle and anticipation of a thunderstorm, 76 competitors manag- ed to complete the challenging Sunset Ladies' Invitational. Judy 'Hunter of Kin- cardine rose above the elements to secure Low Gross of the Day with an 80. Nil Wyatt from Stratford Municipal took Low Net of the Day. Longest Drive on number nine was claimed by Steen Stapleton and Barb McLellan captured Closest to the Pin on number two. Participants arrived from Owen Sound, Kincardine, Saugeen, Stratford, Seaforth and Bluewater to compete in the event. Sunset winnersincluded Kathy Mac: Donald in first flite, Shirley Baechler and Joan McDougall in second flite, followed by Mary Lynn Telford taking ' first low gross in third flite with also Roz Elliott and Steen ,Stapleton being prize winners. Ladies' Nite followed the very successful Ladies Invitational and wary paticipants still managed to exhibit their skills. First flite low gross was Kathy MacDonald. and lciw net was Joyce Bolton. Mary Lynn SUNSET GOLF Telford took second flite honours followed by Ellen Connelly with low net. Third flite low gross was won by Roz Elliott and low net went to Betty Fuller. Laurie Snow cap- tured fourth flite gross following by Kay, Graf. Dennis Lassaline succeeded in taking Low Gross of the Day and Tom Adamson responded with Low Net of the Day., First flite low gross went to Cad DeGrandis with Tony Bedard ,winning low net, Harold Ref- flinghaus won second flite low. gross and Kirk Livingston managed low net. Low gross in' third flite was Kevin Crawford and low net, Tom Stuart. - Members should check the lounge for a • list of posted events.
