Snowmobile
leaces at
Hully Gully
August 30th, Hully Gully Yamaha and
CRC productions will host the first of four
snowmobile events scheduled for this
year. Snowmobile grass drags offers the
thrill of snowmobile racing without endur-
ing the cold weather.
Snowmobiles go from a standing start
and in just under an eighth of a mile, hit
speeds of 100 mph. All classes will be rac-
ing, from the crate stock classes through
the modified, right up to the wild and woo-
ly open modifieds.
A snowmobile right off the showroom
floor can race in the crate stock class,
which provides a way for potential racers
to gain experience under controlled
conditions.
The racing begins at 12 noon Sunday,
August 30th at Hully Gullx, Varna.
Hully Gully is located west of Highway 4
between Clinton and Hensall, and east of
Highway 21. -
For more information call Chuck Collins
at 262-3318.
There will be a water skimming com-
petition during the snowmobile races in-
termission. Drivers will attempt to drive
their machines across the pond at Hully
Gully. Professionals from the Toronto
area will demonstrate how it is done on
modified jet skis. However, the fun begins
when local, non-professionals try to make
the trip across on their snowmobiles
without sinking.

On Monday, August 17th 37 men took in
the fresh air and sunshine, but I unders-

(first low net, with Q. Egener closest to the
'Bole on the 5th. Some of the other winners
were Bill Dufican, Q. Egener, Don Gard,
Dill McKellar and Bill Graham.
- The ladies ranks were depleted on Tues-

come down got wet, and some got soaked!
