Christ Church Port Albert was the setting
for the July 25th wedding of Anita Joann
Hodges and Gary Raymond Taylor. The
Rev. Douglas Pitts of Bayfield officiated
the ceremony. Maid of Honor was Joanne
Buchanan, cousin of the bride, from Lon-
don. Bridesmaids were Dawn Westbrook,
friend of the bride, from Port Albert,
Cheryl Wales, sister of the bride of Lon-
don, and flower girl Tory Westbrook,
special friend of the bride. Bestman was
Bruce Brindley, friend of the groom of
Goderich, ushers Ron Hodges, brother of
the bride of Port Albert, Steve Zawyslak,
brother-in-law of the groom of Goderich
and ringbearer Kyle Vanderburgh, cousin
of the bride of Goderich. Following a
honeymoon trip to the Pocono Mountains,
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have taken residence
in Port Albert.

birth of their first child, a daughter, Jessica
Heather, born August 1st,' 1987 at Seaforth
Community Hospital weighing 7 lbs., 8 oz.
Proud grandparents are Stuart and Shirley
Campbell of Goderich and Helen Fleming of
Clinton.

Wayne and Lynn are happy to announce the
birth of their daughter, Jennifer Lynn. A lit-
,tle sister for Dawn and Christopher. Jenni
was born Aug. 5 at St. Joseph's hospital and
weighed in at 8 lbs., 61/2 oz. Her new grand -
Cheryl Denise Smith, daughter of Marjorie
Smith of Goderich and Christopher
Patrich Adair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd
Adair of Goderich, exchanged vows on
August 8 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in
Goderich with Rev.' Father Terrence
McNamara officiating. Maid of honour
was Suzanne Wright of Essex.
Bridesmaids were Diana Little of
Goderichand Debbie Clarance of
Goderich. Flowergirl was Kristina Ward
of Goderich and ringbea`rer was
Christopher Smith of Goderich. Best man
was Nathan Smith of Goderich and ushers
were Tom Smith of Goderich and Darryl
Lennox of Kitchener Waterloo. The recep-
tion took place at the Goderich Livery
Theatre. The couple will be residing at 247

.On August 31, 1937, Ruth Eleanor Foster
and Norval Thomas Anderson were united
in marriage by Reverend J.H. Geoghegan
at the home of the bride at Sheppardton.
The attendants were the ' bride's sister,
Mabel Foster, as maid of honour and Lou
Culbert as best man. Delena McCreath
sang and was accompanied by the bride's
sister, Irene Foster. The Andersonts
made their home in Goderich until 1951
when Norval was transferred to Toronto to
fill a new position with Imperial Oil Ltd,
from which he retired in. 1975. He is
presently director of Prison Fellowship
Canada for Metropolitan Toronto.
Their son Jerry is retired from the
R.C.M.P. and now holds the position of
Senior Director of Security for the Toronto
Dominion Bank in Manitoba, Saskat-
chewan and N.W. .Ontario. 'Daughter
Shirley first worked for the Canada Life
Assurance Company and for many years
has been employed by I.B.M. Canada Ltd.
Their four grandchildren all take sports
seriously, Mark with hockey; Lisa,
ringette; Sharlene, horsemanship; and
Renate, swimming.
Fellow employees 'from Imperial •Oil,
members of the P.C. Executive of Scar-
borough Centre Riding of which Norval is
a member, church friends and neighbours,
attended an "open house" in the parlour of
West Ellesmere United Church,. Scar-
borough, on Saturday August 22nd.
Greeting from the Governor-General
Jeanne Sauve, were,presented by Pauline
Browes, M.R. for Scarborough Centre.
Relatives and friends in the Goderich area
are invited to attend a celebration at the
White Carnation Hall in Holmesville, on
Saturday, August 29th at 8:30 pm. Agnes
Foster, mother of the bride, who
celebrates her 99th birthday next month;
will be attending. The Anderson's leave
September 25th for a three-week trip to
China and Hawaii. •
