Paul Massel (Tommy) and Allison Grant (Fiona) are the featured romantic leads in this captivating Scottish fantasy, written by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. The original Broadway production of Brigadoon ran for almost two years, won the NY Drama Critics' Award in 1947, made a record-breaking tour of the United States and Canada, and has continued ever since to be one of the most popular musical shows ever. Blending words, music and dance, Briga- doon tells of the adventures of two vacation- ing hunters in the Scottish highlands who • stumble into the picturesque and fantastic Village of Brigadoon, a delightful communi- ty that comes to lite one day out of each cen- tury. Here the people live in an aura of en- chanting and peaceful delight while the rest of the world wears itself out. The young vacationing men, one romantic and the other sarcastic, are given the choice, in the form of two Scottish maidens, One sweet and the other impudent, of remaining in Briga- doon or going back to the hurly-burly of the modern world. The large cast consists of Paul Massel, Murray Oliver, Allison .Grant, John Nelles, David Francis, David Playfair, Karen Skid- more, Deborah Tennant and the list goes on.
