The Knox Presbyterian Church in
Goderich was the site of the exchange of
wedding vows between William (Bill)
James McAllister of RR2 Aubflfn, son of
Robert and Ethel McAllis(er and Elizabeth
(Beth) Anne Dotterer, daughter of Geoff
Dotterer of Goderich and Mrs. Donald
Butts of Schenectady, New York. The
ceremony took place on June 27, 1987.
Susan Stadlemann of R13.4 Goderich, a
friend of the bride, stood as the maid of
honor while bridesmaids included Collen
Ausman of RR1 Milverton and Anna Marie
Young of RR3 Auburn. Stephanie Fox and
Mandy MacGillivray acted as junior
bridesmaids and Cori Fell was the
flowergirl for the couple. Nathan Hubbard
of Belgrave was the ringbearer.
Joe Boyle, a friend of the groom from
Auburn stood up as the groomsman while
the ushers for the service included Brian
VanAaken of RR3 Bayfield, Rob Royal of
Brampton, the brother of the bride Robert
Dotterer of Schenectady, New York and
Wilfrid Lonsbary of Goderich.
Following the church 'ceremony, a
reception for Bill and Beth was held at the
Lucknow Community Centre where
friends and relatives wished the couple
well. Bill and Beth McAllister will reside
at RR2 Auburn and have plans to honey-
moon in New York later in the year.

Martin exchanged vows on July 18 in Knox
Presbyterian Church, Goderich. Rev.
R.W. Johnston officiated. Matron of honor
was Anna Gower of Guelph, friend of the
bride and the bridesmaids were Trudy Jor-
don of Lindsay, friend of the bride and
groom, Cathy Somerville of Port Albert,
friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was
Julieanne Fisher of Clinton, niece of the
groom and flowergirl was Tanya Schultz of
Dungannon, niece of the bride. The best
man was Dave Tigert, of Port Albert,
friend of the groom, and ushers were Jim
Martin of Goderich, brother of the groom,
Kevin Meriam of Goderich, brother of the
bride. The ringbearer was David Meriam
of Goderich, nephew of the bride. Follow-
ing a wedding trip to the United States, Mr.
and Mrs. Martin are residing at 166 Cayley

Ron Kay and Judy Russchen were united in
marriage on June 20, 1987 at Evangel Com-
munity Church, Chatham, Ontario. Parents
of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. John Russchen
of Chatham. Mother of the groom is Mrs.
Zoe. Kay of London. Matron of honor was
Pam Broadwood, Chatham, friend of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Sherry Russchen
of Toronto and Peggy Russchen of
Chatham, both sisters of the bride. Best
man was Clive Bradley, Toronto, and ushers
Chris Fench, of Toronto, and Les Hartridge,
of London, all friends of the groom. Guests
attended from Leamington, Chatham,
Toronto, London, Collingwood, Stratford,
Goderich and Burlington. Following a
honeymoon trip in Northern Ontario, Ron

ting for the June 20th wedding of Deborah
Lynn Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Allen of Goderich, and Darrell Ivan
Poulton, son of Mr. Don Poulton and the late
Eleanor Poulton of Kitchener. Rev. John
Wood officiated at the ceremony. Matron of
honor was Roberta Schram, sister of the
bride, of Surrey, B.C. Bridesmaids were
Barb Petrie, friend of the bride, of
Goderich; Annie Martin, friend of the bride,
of Kitchener; Donna Allen, sister of the
bride, of Goderich; and flowergirl Melissa
Schram, niece of the bride, of Surrey, B.C.
Best man was Bill Martin, friend of the
groom, of Kitchener. Ushers were Scott
Poulton, of Brantford; Mike Holleran,
friend of the groom, of Kitchener; Larrie
Woodcock, friend -of the groom, of Cam-
bridge; and ringbearer Toni McArthur,
nephew of the bride, of Victoria, B.C.

Bulldogs win
Championship
PORT ALBERT
NEWS
The Port Albert Bulldogs won both A and
3 championships in a 48 team tournament
old in Goderich last weekend.
Congratulations to Dr. David Way on the
c. npletion of his new office.
A number of Port Albert residents took
part in the annual Sports Fest held in
Hanover this past weekend. The Port
Albert volleyball team was winning until
the rain started at which time the officials
added up the total points for the day and
Port Albert was one point short of the
championship. Dwayne Durnin won first
prize for the best overall swimmer in the
age 13-14 category. A great time was had
by all.
The second annual Cattle Roundup was
held at the farm of Tom Dickson last week.
Numerous prizes were awarded in the
various categories. First prize for the best
effort was shared by Brian Draper and
Jim Hayden. Mr. Dickson has offered to
host this event again next year and a com-
mittee was chosen to organize the affair.
