Students can do your odd jobs
Are all those odd jobs around home pil-
ing up? Wouldn't it you rather be golfing,
lazing in the sun or playing basketball. Do
we have the solution for you. We have
students to work for a few hours, a day or a
week.
Many employers have already taken ad-
vantage of our services and hired a student
for casual jobs around the home (130 so far
this year). Typical jobs include babysit-
ting, housecleaning, gardening, lawncut-
ting, window -washing, painting or trimm-
ing shrubs.
Homeowners who hire a student to tlo
work around the home are not obligated to
pay the minimum wages. The rate of pay
depends on a mutual decision between the
homeowner and the student(s). As a
guideline, the minimum wages are as
follows: under 18 is $3.50 and 18 and over is
$4.35.
How does the service work? You, the
homeowner, can call us at 524-2744 or visit
us at 35 East St., above the Post Office. We
will need basic information about the job —
what it is, are the tools and equipment sup-
plied, how long will it takeend when does it
need to be done. Then we search ,through
our files of available students to find one
willing and able to do the job for you.
Given a frequently requested order for a
lawncutter (and depending on student
availability) we have been able to find the
right student in as little as 15 minutes.
So take the plunge and forget your wor-
ries. Hire A Student to do that job for you.
You'll feel cooler for it.
The night the
band broke up
• from page 1
and we'll put the boots to C.F. again and
we'll get that good feeling back - the feel-
ing that 1500 people on the same
wavelength can drink, show class, have
fun and do good.
Ah, but it was a night worth remember-
ing a a night The Rubber Band stretched
itself thin and disappeared into a warm
summer sky over Niagara Falls.
