New play entirely sold out
at the Blyth Festival this year
BLY'I'H -.For the first time in the history
of the Blyth Festival, the entire run of a new
play has sold out - even before the play
opens! Miss Balmoral of the Bayview, the
new comedy by Colleen Curran, opens at the
Festival on July 14 and advance public in-
terest has been so great that all 16 perfor-
mances are completely sold out. However,
as usual, a limited number of rush seats will
go on sale to the general public two hours
before performance time for each show.
According to Keith Roulston; co-founder
of the Festival, a similar record was set in
1983 when The Tomorrow Box was brought
back and tickets were sold out before open-
ing. But it is very unusual for a new play,
one which has never been seen on stage
before, to sell out in this way. ,
"Audiences love a good comedy", said
General Manager Tim Chapman, "and peo-
ple remember the other Colleen Curran
plays we've done here - Cake Walk and
Moose County. I apologize to all those people
who will be unable to get tickets to this
show. We always urge people to purchase
their tickets well in advance to avoid disap-
pointment, but sometimes they don't believe
us."
If you want a night out at the theatre, and
don't want to line up for Balmoral rush
tickets, there are still tickets available for
the other plays running in repertory at the
Festival Girls in the Gang, Bordertown Cafe
and Bush Fire (opening July 21). Please call
the Box Office at (519) 523-9300-9225.
Corporation, looking for winner
The Ontario Lottery Corporation is look-
ing for the holder of 6/49 ticket worth
$38,579.50 from the July 19, 1986 draw. The
player, who purchased the ticket in Ex-
eter, has until July 18, 1987 to claim, the
prize, Tourism and Recreation minister
John Eakins announced today.
That prize is one of seven major Lottario
and Lotto 6/49 prizes worth a total of over
$322,400, which remain unclaimed.
Players have 'one year in which to
claim their prizes," said D. Norman Mor-
ris, Corporation president. "Then the prize
money is used for bonus prizes -in subse-
quent draws.''
A complete list of prizes, along with the
winning numbers and the communities in
n
which they were sold, is attached.
"We know these tickets have been pur-
chased," 'Morris explained. "We would
like to award the prizes." ..
In both Lottario and Lotto $/49, players
must match all six of the regular numbers,
to wiri'the Jackpot prize. If they match five
of the regular numbers and the bonus
number, they win a second prize.
The Ontario. Lottery Corporation is a
Crown agency reporting to the Ministry of
Tourism and Recreation. To date, lotteries
have raised more than $2.1billion in pro-
ceeds fol• distribution by the government
of Ontario to a variety of projects.
The winning numbers of the ticket pur-
chased in Exeter are: 7, 25, 28, 32, 37, 43.
