Sunday, June 21st, as well as being
Father's Day, was also the feast of Corpus
Christi (Body of Christ) and was the Sunday
chosen by the Father McCormack Council of
the Knights of Columbus as their Commu-
nion Breakfast Sunday. The beautiful
celebration of the Liturgy of Corpus Christi
Sunday was greatly' enhanced with the par-
ticipation of several 4th ,Degree Knights irt
the celebration of the Mass. Also taking part
in a beautiful and inspirational manner
were St. Joseph's Parish Choir, St. Joseph's
,Men's Choir singing Panis Angelicus and O.
Sanct.simus and Mrs. R. Stalenhoef of St.
Augustine, a well known opera singer in
Europe who is now a Canadian citizen, sang -
a beautiful work of Mozart's. The singers
were accompanied by Marianne Hogan one
of the parish organists. After the Mass,
Knights and guests gathered in the Parish
Hall for a beautiful dinner preparedly the
Catholic Women's League. Eugene Frayne
very capable served as Master of
Ceremonies. Head table guests included
K.C. Chaplain, Fr, Ed Dentinger and Co -
Chaplain Fr, Frank Dentinger, guest
speaker John Rhodina and Mrs. Rhodina,
Rene Brochu, District Deputy, and Mrs.
Brochu, Grand Knight Donald Frayne, Bill
Yann Van Osch and John and Jean Van '
' Rooy. As well as Eugene Franyne, several
presentations and acknowledgements were
mad- including one to Pro:Life of the
mo 'es collected on Mother's Day of
the
sale f Pro -Life roses. The presentation was
made to 'Mrs. Clarice Dalton and Knight
Pete Dykstra who is also very active in Pro -
Life.
Guest speaker John Rhodina spoke on the
importance of the family and the parish
oriented Knights of Columbus Councils: It
was a very enjoyable and successful first
annual communion breakfast and much
credit must be given to Grand Knight Dori
Frayne and the council for their -efforts and
achievements.
Congratulations and best wishes to Morris
Van Osch and Janice Halliday who will be
married at St. Joseph's on July 4th.
At the June community, school meeting
the successful applicants for, supervision
and help at summer play school were pick-
ed. Supervisor is Shannon Durnin and her
assistants are Rhonda Hogan and Mary Ann
O'Neill.' Summer -school begins on Monday
June 6th.
On Tuesday, June 23rd a farewell gather-
ing was held at the home of Pat and Connie
Osborn for two very active Pro -Life
members who are leaving the area. Pauline
de Jeu and Virginia Miller, they were each
;presented with parting gifts. ,Several Pro
Life members from Kingsbridge attended.
The last few days at school were very ex-
citing as the children prepared for their
summer holidays.
Monday evening, the Grade 8's held their
graduation exercises beginning with mass
at 7:00 p.rn. The graduates participated by

After the Mass, a lovely dinner was served
in the Parish Hall to graduates and guests.
The meal was prepared by the mothers of
the Grade Seven students and was served by
last year's graduating girls and this year's
Grade Seven girls. Fr. Frank Dentinger
said Grace. After dinner Master of
Ceremonies, Principal Mr. Ennis Murphy
began the evening's program. Brother Carl
Read an inspirational poem addressed to,
the graduates. Barb- Edy read greetings
from trustee Bernie Van Osch, who was
unable to be there, on behalf of the Huron
Perth " RC, SS. Board Valedictorian was
