Vikings split in Guelph tourne;
The weekend of Dec. 19 and 20, the GDCI
Senior boys basketball team played in the
Guelph University Basketball Tournament.
Goderich fared well in the tourney,

54-44. The Vikings' top scorer was Todd
Graham with 18 points. Juergen Schulz
came on strong to add 14, while Darryl
Black scored 10 Bob Barwick hooped eight
with Baird Robinson .and Byron Bowman
chipping in with two points each.
However, the Vikings didn't fare well
against the highly ranked Guelph Centen-
nial Spartans, losing 66-52. Graham once
again led the local' scorers with 28, most .of
those accumulated in the fourth quarter.
Barwick contributed 10 in the loss, while
Black added eight. Playing well off of the
bench were Mike Bush (four points) and
Dan Martin, who added two.

resulted in Mount Brydges scoring three
straight goals, two of them in 25 seconds, to
make the game closer' than it really was. .-
