rounded on this play as the Sailors and Walkerton Blackhawks bat-
tled in Junior C action Sunday afternoon in Goderich. The penalty -

At the other end of the rink, Sailor goalie
Tom Durnin also had a tremendous. game,
making many excellent saves, some of
them bordering on the miraculous.

two goalies. The result was the best game
the Sailors have played since the beginn-
ing of the season.
Although they could not score a lot, the
Sailors played well defensively.
Defencemen Scott Stokes, Kevin Telford,
Daryl Madge and Trevor Martin all played
well. Stokes and Telfors especially handed
out some crushing body checks. The team
generally finished their checks well. The -
tough defensive play led to lots of penalties
but the game was fast -paced and extreme-
ly competitive.
The same two teams go at it again here
Friday night lond, based on Sunday's
game, it should be a good one. Game time
is 8:30 p.m. The Sailors also play at home
Sunday afternoon against the Wingham
Ironmen at 3 p.m. The improving play of
the Sailors ,should mean that both these
games should provide some good hockey
for the fans.
