Paul Kelly added four in the lopsided win.

Lakeland slipped past the Bedford Flyers
5-4 in a game last Tuesday night as Jeff
Denomy scored twice. Paul Schaefer, Brad
Armstrong and Dan Boyce rounded out the
scoring for the winners.
Earlier last week, Lakeland routed Mur-
phy's Green Machine by a lopsided 10-4
count, as Brad Armstong recorded the hat
trick. Mark Dawson added a pair, with
single tallies awarded to Paul Schaefer,
Trevor Erb, Paul Feagan, John Little and
Larry Kelly.
Grant Gnaw and Bill Peters each scored
twice for Murphy's.

goals as the Parkhouse Rangers defeated

Sixty-five members of the Goderich
Duplicate Bridge Club enjoyed their
Christmas dinner and annual meeting at the
Bedford Hotel on December 9.
President Mary Ann Dempsey announced
the winners of the 1986 competitions:
Eleanor Erskine won the President's Cup
and Jane Cere won the Quarterly Club
Championship.
Runners-up for the President's Cup were
Brian Reeve, Louise Hetherington (third)
and Dawna Sproule (fourth).
Runners-up in the Quarterly Club Cham-
pionships were Eleanor Erskine and Mary
Donnelly (second), Barb Howe and Marion
Lane (third) and Lee Ryan (fourth) .

Angels take
five points
from New -Gals
BOWLING
Monday Night Ladies League
On December 1, Carolyn Carter had a 230
(615) to lead Auleen's Angels to a five -point
win over the New Gals. Bonnie Durnin ( 210),
Grace Mugford (219, 608), Vicki Dineen
(276) helped in the point allotment.
The New -Gals fought back to take two
points, led by Pauline Jacques (174), Mavis
Fisher (181), Sharon Marshall (200), Doreen
Leeson (225) and Eleanor Crawford (235). ,
The Blazers and the Marionettes split the
points with the Blazers coming away with
four. Good games were bowled from
Earleen Spain (182), Jean Pinder (206), Lor-
raine Jones (227). •
The Marionettessfought back to take three
points with strong efforts. from Alice Mero
(169), Joan Crawford (201), Betty Fisher
(251), Marilyn Bannister (608) triple.
The Oldtimers proved they weren't too old
by taking seven points from the
Wallbangers. Joyce Atchison recorded a 181
and a 193, while Nancy White had a 215 and a
607 triple. •
The Wallbangers had high games from
Trish Deighton (182), Dianne Scott (231),
Ann Smith (217) (598) triple.
Barb's Bunnies were bowling against 100
per cent of their average and took five
points. Mary Lynne Telford (184), Barb ,
Almasi (206), Brenda Teichert (2360612 tri-
ple) bowled good games as did Shirley Ken-
nedy (250, 264, and a 671 triple).
Thursday Night Major Men's League
On Dec. 11, Selingers Spoilers -7 points, as
Mike Pottle had a 206, 207 and a 262. .
Sunny's-0 points, led by Leo Baker (158,
191 and 225).
Ray's Rollers -5 points, led by Mei Mon-
tgomery (173, 236 and 267) .
Bruinsma Bombers -2 points, led by Don
Carrick (147, 216 and 219).
North End Marina -5 points, led by Clem
Desjardins (188, 217 and 234).
Lakeport Advertising -2 points, led by
Skip Reid (202, 224 and 261) .
High single for the evening was Jim Har-
rison with a 295. Ian Scott had the high triple
with a 770.
Wednesday Afternoon Ladies
Wolverines --7 points, led by Grace
Mugford (571).
Fonz-0 points, Patti Johnston rolled a 488.
Lions -7 points, as Joanne Ducharme had
a 259 and a 611.
Sly Foxes -0 points.
Cobras and Polar Bears split three-four.
Sharon Sanders rolled a 231 and a 614.
Janet Rumig with a 265, 266 and a 224 for
755 led her Bear Cubs to five points from the
Chipmunks. Shirley Kennedy rolled a 585
and. Mary Lynn Telford a 544 while Gwen
McRae had a 579.
Gophers -7 points as Barb Pigg was the
high bowler with a 517.
Tigers -0 points.
Wildcats -7 points from the Turtles inspite
of Daisy Scott's 251 and 593 and Mick
Chambers' 213. Lois Rowe had a 546 and
Janet Daer had a 545.
Monday Night Ladies League
On December 8, Barb's Bunnies -4 points.
Joyce Pettus had a 172, Mary Lynne Telford
had a 184, Bev Whetstone a 213 and a 216,
Dorothy Bourdeau a 237 and a 618, Barb
Almasi a 246 and a 670.
The Oldtimers-3 points, Joyce Atchison,
191, Bev Million, 226, Melba Maillet, 231,
Nancy White a 266 (646), tel Geddes a 241
and a 684 triple.
Marionettes -7 points. Alice Mero, 158,
Marilyn Bannister, 231, Audrey Brindley
261, 291 and a 674 triple.
