School choir entertains
at After Five Club meetin
Floyd Herman's choir from Robertson
School came into the Goderich and District
After Five Club dressed as carollers out on a
wintery evening and sang Christmas carols
to the delight of their audience.
Colleen Maguire and Helen Brown
brought about a feeling of peace and com-
fort as they sang later in the evening. Col-
leen also sang -She Has Her Father's Eyes"
as a special request.
Gail Falconer, owner of Falcon's Nest had
a very impressive display of woodcrafts in-
cluding a lovely canoe made by her hus-
band, Bruce.
Speaker Edith Sider, P.E.I., was in this
area because of a Tenth Anniversary for the
Listowel Club. Edith was their first Chair-
man and we enjoyed the opportunity of
hearing her testimony. Edith reminded us
that in God's word He states that He has not
given us the spirit of fear, but that He has
given us power, love and a sound mind.
She mentioned how we will go through
some trials in order to be able to comfort
others who are going through the same
thing. We will be able to share with others
the knowledge of the comfort by which we
were comforted.
The club's next meeting is Jan. 27 in
Saltford.
