SCHOOL THEME ASSEMBLY
Robertson School's theme is "School and
Community Growing Together". We also
had two guest speakers. Mr. Dempsey talk-
ed about vandalism and what it costs us and
our parents. Mr. Carroll also talked about
littering and keeping our community clean.
Meanwhile, 7A, Mrs. Dyck's class, went to
the Court House where they cleaned up litter
and cleaned up vandalism.
VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
The senior boys volleyball team
represented our school very well but did not
bring back the pennant. •
The senior girls volleyball team played
well. The girls came back with the pennant.
There will be boys intermural volleyball
starting with six teams.
SENIOR CHOIR AT G.D.C.I.
Sunday, Nov. 16 about 90 members sang at
the concert at G.D.C.I. Mr. Herman led
them well. They sang "You're the Inspira-
tion", "Glory of Love". Then Becky Penn,
Jacki Rau and Tanya Ross sang "You're
Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" and
"Cat's in the Cradle". Then Jacki Rau sang
the song from Annie "Tomorrow".
PRIMARY AND JUNIOR CHOIRS
The primary and junior choirs are work-
ing hard to prepare for the Christmas con-
cert. The junior choir will "debut" at this
concert and both Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Hut-
chison are very excited about the high quali-
ty of singing from this group.
THE PIZZA PARTY ,
Congratulations to the Grade 5's Mr. Cur-
rie's class, for selling Holiday Friends and
winning the pizza party. They had it Nov. 20.
Gobbling down the pizza at an incredible
rate, they had fun.

peared that most of the tears were tears of
joy and relief. •
WATCH OUT! Snowballs are flying in the
snowball' area. This is a privelege that can
be revoked if improperly used.,
The grades 4, 5 nnd16 classes went to a con-

MUSIC ENRICHMENT
Some students from Brookside,
Holtinesville and Robertson gathered in. Mr.
Cookson's house last Wednesday and Thurs-
day for a music enrichment course. There
were many synthesizers for the students on
which to experiment and compose their own
music. The well written music was recorded
and turned out very good for their first try.
Several members of Robertson School
staff are attending an enrichment course be-
ing presented ab the Educational Centre
Nov. 13, 20, 27 from 3:30 - 5:30 pm.
A few weeks ago Miss Rankin went to
Blyth School to give 2 slide presentations on
Australia. The children were very keen to
learn about Australia as they'd been study-
ing it with their teachers. Miss Rankin real-
, ly enjoyed her afternoon. She said that the
children were very well behaved and quiet
is thene at Robertson
and friendly.
Miss Rankin has been working on the
theme "Dinosaurs". They have been work-
ing at different centres each day and doing
things like maki ig plasticine dinosaurs,
making a paper mache landscape for them,
cooking dinosaurs eggs (YUM!) and doing
dinosaur projects,as well as lots of other fun
things! Watch out for the dinosaur displays
by the gym. ( Be prepared to be scared! )
The kids have really enjoyed working on
this theme, and Miss Rankin is proud of how
well they worked together in the centres.
Our next theme will be on Australia so that
Miss Rankin will remember what she's go-
ing back to in January! -
Mr. Scratch's grade 6 class has been hav-
ing many visits from Constable Poltar for
V.T.P. (values, influence, peers) and this
week are studying the danger of drugs. Also,
they have been working on an Aztec project
with a partner and are studying Aztecs and
their appearance.
