A clear route for Stratford central set up
the final confrontation between the Rams
and our Vikings.
A slow start for both teams and tight of-
ficiating left the Vikes trailing 14-12 at the
half. But more importantly, left four Vik-
ing starters in foul trouble. Bench strength
brought the Vikings back into the game,
but it was never meant to be as they fell
short in the dying seconds. The final score
was Stratford Central 30 - Goderich 28.
Members of the Midget Vikings are
Anhe Marie Bedard, Jennifer Durnin, Jen-
nifer Flynn, Michelle Glenn, Sheri Hord,
Kelli Wade, Cathy Jo Moore, Leslie
Meyers, Julie Pentland, Christine
Straughan;Paula Vanderburgh, and Stacy
Youngblut. Special thanks to coaches Lynn
Meyers and Heidi Elliott for their time and
effort. To St. Mary's Public School for the
use of their gym and especially to the fans
and friends who made it a truly winning
season.
When the G.D.C.I. Midget (girls began
their season, it was a' difficult task to
determine whether it was a winning or los-
ing, team. When the final cuts were made
coaches Lynn Meyers and Heidi Elliott'
knew they were looking at twelve winners.
An impressive and victorious season
lead the midgets to what looked like a good
chance at capturing the Huron Perth title,
unfortunately that was not to be.
The Midgets began the tournament with
a bang, defeating the Mustangs from
Wingham 65-24. Leslie Meyers and Kelli
Wade Were the top point scorers for the
Vikings.
Next the Vikings defeated a tough Mit-
chell squad 37-23. Wade led all scorers with
14 points, Leslie Meyers hooped 11, Anne
Marie Bedard 6 with Julie Pentland and
Cathy Jo Moore rounding out the scoring
with two apiece. This game seemed to take
it's toll on the Vikings as they had a slow
start in the final name.

He's all excited about it and I could use
a weekend away but I do have my doubts.
When I made the reservation, the lady,
told me I had to decide now on menu
selections for the weekend. I made mine
and then said that any old pet food or
chicken guts would be fine for my
partner.
She called me a dirty sexist and said
she was passing my comments on to the
instructor.
After I hung up the phone I thought —
you know, if I really wanted to be abused,
used and hassled every time I walked in
the door — I could have stayed married.
Let's see
you do
