Vallieres, Ian Brooks and Kevin Barfoot got the others. Shawn Larder, on a nice passing play with Chris Sideris, got the lone Goderich goal. The loss was disappointing but coaches Dick Madge and Dale Duncan had nothing but praise for the 12 Sailors who played. The Sailors have struggled to survive because of a player shortage an season and their woes continue. Several of the players who could make a contribution have failed to make a real commitment to the team and it has made it difficult for those who have. The coaches are hoping to have some new faces in the lineup by Friday night. Sunday, the Sailors, with several midgets in the lineup, had more players but got to play only two periods. The Blackhawks outscored the Sailors 5-1 in the first -period although the shots were even at 12 apiece. The Sailors mounted a bit of a come- back scoring twice early in the second period to make the score 5-3, but Walker- ton scored three more times in the last five minutes of the period. At the end of the period, as the teams were leaving the ice, an alteration broke out. Although only one fight involving ope player from each team occurred, referee Paul Robson assessed each team five game misconduct penalties on the basis that the players had failed to leave the vicinity of the altercation. The lienalties left the teams so short of players that the third period could not be played. Both teams have sent letters to the O.H.A. com- plaining about Robson's lack of judgment in the situation. Daryl Madge, who was the dominant player on the ice, scored two of the Goderich goals. Tom Bean had the other.
