With the help of Mr. Vic Roy, Manager of the Clinton Community Credit Union, an application for charter was signed by the applicants in the British Exchange Hotel, which has since been destroyed by fire, and a charter for Goderich Community Credit Union Limited was received from the Provincial Secretary of Ontario dated June 29th, 1954.
