Since being chartered in 1944 the Local 1863 has built a reputation to be proud of. An excellent
relationship has been developed between union and management, and we are proud to boast that
there has never been a strike in the Champion Road Machinery Plant. This co-operation has car-
ried through into the building of one of Goderich's most used facilities, Union Hall, better known
as Saltford Valley Hall. Management guidance and union funds and hard work have created a
u' landmark in Goderich:
We aurrently over 550 strong and our president, Don Goddard, is the longest running presi-
dent with over 20 years experience in the union.
WE TAKE THIS CHANCE TO CONGRATULATE CHAMPION AND WE ARE
LOOKING FORWARD TO ANOTHER 40 YEARS OF UNION - MANAGEMENT HARMONY
