Cardiff, the sitting member for five years, said the Conservatives could provide a square deal for all Canadians with leader John Bracken. His main opponent, Major Nairn, argued that MacKenzie King, Champion pioneered the use of hydraulics in 1930s and its D462 model manufactured in 1946 featured many improvements.
