HURON CHAPEL
MISSIONARY CHURCH
Huron Chapel Missionary Church is a youngster yet, with two birthdays. The Chapel
first saw the light of day on July 4, 1971, when the Huron Christian Men's Association,
an interdenominational group of evangelical Christians, began to hold services in the
former Presbyterian Church in Auburn. Almost ten years later, when a growing core
group of young families required the addition of a Sunday School, a morning worship
service and the establishment of a more permanent church in general, application for
affiliation was made to the Missionary Church of Canada. On April 21, 1980, that which
had been known as the Huron Men's Chapel becamethe
Huron Chapel Missionarwith
Church. '1'Ye Missionary Church of Canada is a long-established
Methodist doctrine, Mennonite background and a strong emphasis on world missions.
