The subsidiary remained in Hamilton for a ,few years and then, because of labour problems, the' company • was moved to Goderich. Goderich was a bustling and prosperous town in the day, and plans were in the works to improve the port facility and erect new buildings. In fact, federal government estimates, released in 1909, for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1911, included provisions . by the minister of finance for the town of Goderich.
