at the Huron -Bruce Federal Liberal
Association Annual dinner meeting to be
held at the Goderich Township hall on Nov.
20.
Mr. Boudria, presently the Public Works
and supply and Services critic for the of-
ficial opposition, and the deputy critic of
agriculture, also holds two other positions
within Liberal Caucus; Chairman of the On-
tario Liberal Caucus and Deputy Chairman
of the Government Operations committee.
Mr. Boudria has a reputation for his
motivating speaking ability, and the local
Association is very excited about his par-
ticipation at the upcoming meeting.
The Huron -Bruce Federal Liberal
Association invites all those who may be in-
terested in meeting Mr. Boudria to attend

The annual Boy Scouts Apple Day was held Oct. 24 and 25, with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts
from Third and Fourth Goderich groups participating. The older boys canvassed the town
door-to-door on Friday night and the Beavers joined them Saturday at local businesses. The

HOLMESVILLE - The senior choir led in
the ministry of music, singing a song from the
choir festival held recently at Holmesville
United Church.
On Sunday morning, Rev. Betchel spoke to
the children before going to their classes
about Children Of The King. Greg Lobb and
Jim Crawford received the offering.
The Enterprising Seniors will meet
November 6 at 2 p.m. at community centre

At the Seniors' Centre on Wednesday
evening, strange creatures were out to
play euchre.
Dr. Who -o -o -o and his assistant were in
attendance as well as a society lady who
had a vision problem which the above doc-
tor couldn't correct. The good Father used
his faith to get, the good cards and the
clowns were good sports despite the bad
cards.
High lady for the evening was Jean
Brougton while the low lady was Grace
Finnigan. The high white card was Eva
(Art) Stewart with the low white card
score going to Al Linskill.
Everyone had a really good time and
Happy Birthday was sung to the October
celebrants, Pearl Caldwell, Colleen Eedy,
A.J. Sherwood, Evelyn Errington, Maxine
Pollock, Elwyn Pfrimtner, Ann Krauch,
Jean Philips and Jean Errington.
Don't forget the General Meeting on
Wednesday, November 12 at 2 p.m. and the
Bazaar on Saturday, November 8 from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m.

October 23 in the United Church basement

in both St. Marys Hospital Kitchener and the
Goderich General Hospital Goderich. Rev. Bob

The ghosts and goblins were out in full
force at the Dungannon Agricultural
Society's Hallowe'en Dance on Saturday,
November 1.
Prizes were given in five costume
classes as follows: Best man was Clarence
Doherty as Dracula; best women was Kris
Skirten; best couple was Donna and Ken
MacLennan as a spanish couple; best
animal was Janet Godfrey as a werewolf
and the special mention went to Kathy
Todd who was an extremely convincing
ghoul.
Door prizes were won by Darlene Patter-
son, Pat Andress, Bob Robertson, Lori Hill
and Jamie Daer.
"By Special Request" provided the
mt11ic for the evening, as well as judging
the costumes - a difficult job considering
the number of . excellent ideas for
costumes.

Ashfield Township Road Superintendent
Jim Hunter is taking an early retirement
effective the end of this year.
Jim has worked on construction for 40
years and a total of 26 years for his home
township.

The meeting ended with a lunch served

birth of her seventh great-grandchild and
to Bob and Betty on another grandchild.
Proud parents of Scott David McLellan are
Diane and Dave McLellan of Walton. Scott
was born in Wingham hospital on Thurs-
day, october 30.

their fourth meeting to the roll call - name a
cultured product and how itcan be used.

On Friday, October 31st, the Students
Council hosted a Halloween Party for the
entire student body. At noon recess, .a
costume parade took place and prizes
were awarded to each grade for prettiest,
scariest, funniest and most original
costume.
After lunch, the younger children were
entertained in the gym by the older pupils.
Games featured included pin the nose on
the witch, apple bobbing, pass the
lifesaver, pumpkin toss, sponge toss,
musical tombstones and the fabulous'
haunted house.
The haunted house - was enjoyed by
everyone, young and old alike. It featured
a friendly corpse who had been asleep for
150 years, several gargoyles who inhabit
Colborne Township as well as Brett
Colborne.
The older pupils enjoyed a Halloween
Dance after school.
Thanks to the Mothers who volunteered
to help with the Halloween baking. Your
help was very much appreciated.
