Her name is Lynn Moreau and she comes from Blainville, Quebec. Lynn is living with Tina Hamilton for three months on an ex- change and Tina will return to Lynn's home in Quebec in February. Lynn is 15 -years -old and her dream is to become a Canadian Astronaut like Marc Garneau. We really en- joy having Lynn at our school to add spice and excitement to our French classes. Mr. Ben Freeman (Custodian) Students of 8C completed their first pro- ject in mathematics. Some students in- vented new games while others constructed 3-D geometric projects? The Gr. 7-8 senior choir will be singing on the evening of Oct. 29 at the Stanley Township Hall, in honour of the foster parents association. Students from all grades participated in a school thanksgiving assembly on Oct. 11. Mr. Herman The primary and junior choirs are well under way. The primary choir is preparing some songs for the Hallowe'en assembly. The junior choir has already started to learn some songs for concerts later in the year. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Hutchinson are very pleased with the effort and attitude of all choir members. A good year for Robertson choir is od the way. Mrs. Smith ,a involvement. Mr. Matthies There are a number of would-be reporters in Mr. Herman's grade 8 class. Miss Broadwellat not only ha�he ass simulated intervieeir Enlish teachersays ws with notable people such as Miss Piggy, Sarah Ferguson and Whitney Houston, but they have also written up their transcripts. There could be some competition for Signal star jobs in the future. Miss Broadwell (Librarian) We had a surprise birthday party for Kris Mallough's birthday on Thursday Oct. 2, 86. The students made a cake and a card. Everybody watched a video about the Ber- muda Triangle. We had a lot of fun and Kris was really surprised. Mrs. Smith The Kindergarten classes visited Apple Park on Oct. 7. It was a beautiful sunny day for our outing which included a tour of the orchard to see different kinds of apples be- ing harvested, the Packing House and an ap- ple to eat as we walked around the lawn and looked at the statues. Thanks to Madeline Laithwaite for her hospitality. Mrs. Freeman Mr. Scratch's Grade 6 class, last week studied about belittling others and two girls put on a skit that was very surprising, also very well acted out. We also learned how put downs are always damaging to others. Mr. Scratch McMillen attended a teacher training course for learning disabled children at Trillium School in Milton last week. Mrs. McMillen Oct. 16 was the cross-country` meet involv- ing area schools. The Robertson Junior buy s and Senior boys each won the pennant for their divisions. Shawn Carver won first place medallion for his division.
