We have a new helper in the French class.
Her name is Lynn Moreau and she comes
from Blainville, Quebec. Lynn is living with
Tina Hamilton for three months on an ex-
change and Tina will return to Lynn's home
in Quebec in February. Lynn is 15 -years -old
and her dream is to become a Canadian
Astronaut like Marc Garneau. We really en-
joy having Lynn at our school to add spice

Students of 8C completed their first pro-
ject in mathematics. Some students in-
vented new games while others constructed
3-D geometric projects? The Gr. 7-8 senior
choir will be singing on the evening of Oct.
29 at the Stanley Township Hall, in honour of
the foster parents association. Students
from all grades participated in a school
thanksgiving assembly on Oct. 11.
Mr. Herman
The primary and junior choirs are well
under way. The primary choir is preparing
some songs for the Hallowe'en assembly.
The junior choir has already started to learn
some songs for concerts later in the year.
Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Hutchinson are very
pleased with the effort and attitude of all
choir members. A good year for Robertson
choir is od the way.
Mrs. Smith ,a involvement. Mr. Matthies

We had a surprise birthday party for Kris
Mallough's birthday on Thursday Oct. 2, 86.
The students made a cake and a card.
Everybody watched a video about the Ber-
muda Triangle. We had a lot of fun and Kris
was really surprised.

The Kindergarten classes visited Apple
Park on Oct. 7. It was a beautiful sunny day
for our outing which included a tour of the
orchard to see different kinds of apples be-
ing harvested, the Packing House and an ap-
ple to eat as we walked around the lawn and
looked at the statues. Thanks to Madeline
Laithwaite for her hospitality.

Mr. Scratch's Grade 6 class, last week
studied about belittling others and two girls
put on a skit that was very surprising, also
very well acted out. We also learned how put
downs are always damaging to others.
