At theOctober euchre party, at the
Senior's Centre, the high lady was Fem-
mie Qrroen while the low lady was
Margaret 1V1ole, The high man was Ray-
mond Haggitt with the low score going to
John Andrew. The Lucky draw was won by
Jim Errington. The pumpkins for door
prizes were won by Tom Tobey and Lois
Cunningham.
On October 15, 12 tables of euchre, were
played at the Seniors' Centre. The witiners
were: High lady - Femmie Groenlow
lady - Lois Cunningham; high white card -
John Harris and Nels Pearson. John won
the cut. Low white card - Margaret Young
and Wilbur Brown with Margaret winning
the ,cut. The mystery prize winner was
Tom Young.
At the United Church on Sunday, student
minister John Williams was in charge of
ihe.service.
Twenty-two vendors were set up at
Dungannon Agriculture Hall on Saturday
for the annual Flea Market. Everything
was there from homemade candy, baking,
beautiful fancy work, jewellry and
makeup to the flea market tables
thenlelves. By most reports, everyone sold
fairly briskly. Sandy Daoust is the very
capable lady in charge of this event each
year.
Times for the church services at Trinity
and Nile are scheduled to change Sunday,
November 2. Trinity will be 9:45 a.m. and
Nile will be 11:15 a.m.
Some of the ladies are busy with work
bees on Thursday evenings at Margaret
Errington's home for the seniors' upcom-
ing bazaar and tea on November 8. There
promises to be some nice Christmas
novelties as well as delicious treats.
Championship
Congratulations to the Nile men's slo-
pitch team who captured the A division
championship for the first time in their
. five years as a team. It was a close game
with Nilg winning 5-4 in eight innings over
the Lucknow six-shooters. The Lucknow
team won the first two games to make Nile
dig in to win the next, two and eventually
the best -of -five series.
People report
Word has been received here of the birth
of Kayleigh Marie Gliedt, to Betty and
Aruit Gliedt, in Kitchener on August 29,
weighing 7 lbs 10 oz. Proud grandparents
are Bertha (Jones) and Weldon Rudaw of
Elmira.
The community welcomes Gilbert and
Anne Millar to the village. They have pur-
chased the trailer home of Florence Berry.
Get well wishes are extended to Nels
Pearson, Lloyd Walters, Doris Hodges and
all others who might be confined in home
or hospital.
Visitors overthe Thanksgiving weekend
with Mr, and Mrs. Jim Rivett and family
were Morris and Martha Hazlitt. of
Burlington.

Senior Citizens meet
On Thursday, October 16, the llth an-
nual Fall Rally of the zone 8 United Senior
Citizens of Ontario was hosted by the
Dungannon club.
A total of 147 registered between 12 noon
•-) ,, and 1 p.m. The call to order was given by
Zone President Elmer Hayter follwed by 0
Canada and the Lord's Prayer. One
minutes silence was observed in memory
of departed friends. The message was
delivered by Rev. Robert Roberts of the
Dungannon United Church:
Ted Bowers, president of the host club,
welcomed all present. The guest speaker
for the meeting was Shirley Keller,
General Manager of the Goderich Signal -
Star. She gave a most inspiring talk.
Evelyn Errington presented Mrs. Keller
with a gift.
A convention report was given by the
zone secretary and remarks were given by
" the zone president.
For the rest of the afternoon, euchre,
cribbage, darts, 500, crokinole and bridge
were enjoyed by all. Winners were;
Crokinole - Mary Wightman, Bert Mc-
Creath. Cribbage - Bob McLachlan,
Mildred Thomson. Euchre winners: High
pink card - Louise Brindley; low - Deloris
Culbert; high white card - Watson
Webster; low - Doris Hooper; lone hands -
Ina Neeb; Bridge draw - Aldene Wolfe and
Mary Rowntree.

married
50 years
Herbert and Williamena Dotterer, 87 St.
Patrick St.,Goderich, celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on October 24.
The couple was married October 24 in St.
George's Episcopal Church, Schenectady,
New York. They emigrated to Ottawa and
later moved from the country's capital to
Goderich in January 1962.
Their home, which they purchased in
.December 1963, was built in approximate-
ly 1841 and is now a Heritage Home.
Mr. and Mita. Leatteer have two sons,
Geoffrey L. Dotterer and Utile Hl9 Dot-
terer. There are three grandchildren,
Robert A. Dotterel, and Richard T. Dot-
terer of New 'fork. State, and Elizabeth
- .Dotteret, a resident of Goderich.
