Four of the Colborne staff have recently taken part in a Project Wild workshop that was held at the Hulled Conservation Area last Thursday evening. Mr. Medd, Miss Steinbach, Mrs. Hazlitt and Mr. Ross joined teachers from across the country at this four hour workshop that was sponsored jointly by the Huron County Board of Educa- tion and the Ministry of Natural Resources. The purpose of the seminar was to share ideas about teaching .children the values to be found in the out-of-doors. Mr. Ross has borrowed some ukuleles from Vanastra Public School so that in- terested Colborne pupils can participate in a ukulele group that will be coached by Mrs. Hazlitt, Mr. Medd and Mr. Ross with a little help from Mr, Bond, Mr. Brereton and Miss Steinbach. The Huron County board of education wants to hear from you. Parents will be surveyed in the near future about areas of communication. Taxpayers who do not have children in the system can pick up survey sheets at the school.
