The Sunset hosted their annual awards
dinner and dance on Saturday Sept. 27 at the
Goderich Community Centre. Winners of
the final match play were determined.
Ladies' Club Champions for 1986 was Pat
Jewell. Pat was also the recipient of the
"Kay Lyndon Trophy" which goes to the
lady who has reduced her handicap the
greatest in one year.
Dorothy Bourdeau was the runner-up to
the Club Champion. Kathy McDonald won
the handicap trophy and Ellen Connelly was
the runner-up.

In the meats division Paul Baechler took

to capture n this title. Ken Straughen was
runner-up.
Second flight gross was Greg Hansen, who
also won second flight net, two titles at once.
Fred Jewel was runner-up to Greg for the
gross event.
Leon Gaynor produced some fine golfing
to capture the same titles in his flight as
Greg.Leon won third low gross and third
low net trophies. Geo Bolton was runner-up
to third flight gross.
Harold Refflinghaus won three trophies
including fourth flight gross, fourth flight
net runner-up and two -ball runner-up. That
is quite an achievement for a first year
golfer.
Harvey Livingstone was the runner-up to
fourth flight gross.
In the handicap trophies, Laurie Col-
quhoun was the first flight winner with
Gerry Meno being runner-up.
Second flight runner- up was Bob. Dickson.
Their flight runner-up was Geo Williams.
Fourth flight winner was Jim Collins (a new
golfer, to the club).
The teen's . two -ball was won by Rob
Graham and Ken Straughen with Dave
Ronaldson and Harold Refflinghaus captur-
ing the runner-up position.
The mixed two -ball was won by Betty
Fuller and Al MacDonald while Mary Lynn
Telford and Paul Baechler remained in
runner-up place.
Larry Gaynor was presented with the
most improved golfer by Jamey Sturdy..
This plaque is a "John Sturdy Memorial",
which goes to the male of the club who had
reduced his handicap the greatest in one
year. Larry is now a 9 handicap.
Congratulations to all the Sunset winners;
matches prove to being very challenging,
exciting, and rewarding. It gives each golfer
a chance to meet fellow members and to
take your skills of golf to their highest
ability.
If, it ever stops raining, there will be plen-
ty of fall ,golfing-ldlOust remember the
Miller Time Tournament On `'1'l-anksglvllig
Monday.

Plan is a new five-year management pro-
gram designed to make your pork operation
more efficient and profitable.
The plan provides capital grants for a
wide range of improvements in both produc-
tion and financial management.
There are grants available for ventila-
tion materials, scales, loading chutes,herd
health programs, artificial insemination,
rodent control, record-keeping and tuition
costs.
