One heart at a time BLUEPRINT FOR PEACE A popular concept is that world peace can be achieved by banning nuclear weapons, germ warfare, and poison gases. Although important, this will not exert eduring influence. Mankind is ingenious enough to in- vent other forms of warfare in an en- dless quest for supremacy. Baha'i writings state that the abolition of war is not merely the signing of peace treaties, but a new level of commitment to resolving issues not usually associated' with the pursuit of peace. These would in- clude the emancipation of women, universal education, and the disparity between rich and poor. - Free copies of Letter to Peoples of the World are available on request.
