The annual dues for or- dinary and associate members of Branch 109 are still $25. At the last general meeting it was passed that the branch dues for 987 not be increased. Anyone paying their Legion dues prior the end of the year becomes an "early bird" and is eligible to win a free membership. Those paying their 1987 dues prior to the Nov. 4 general meeting will have three chances of having their 1986 dues for 1987 refunded by the branch. Only Legion dues paid during October, November and December of this year are eligible for the free dues draw, which will be made at the general meetings of these months. Five seminars will be held in the morning with another five to take place in the afternoon. One of the seminars will be led by Kim Coulter, co-ordinator of Womanpower in London. Womanpower is an Out Reach pro- ject, sponsored by Employment and Im- migration, which offers free vocational counseling and career resources for women rather than offering direct job placement. They also help with career planning, en- courage employment training and offer in- formation on employment programs and services. Group counseling is also an area Woman- power enters into, providing self assess- ment, resume writing, preparing for job in- terviews, job search and non-traditional jobs and training. - In the educational and retraining oppor- tunities division, Janet Stephenson, Associate Professor and Director of Part - Time Studies at the University of Western Ontario, will be on hand. Also with her will be Donna Moore, Academic Counsellor for Part -Time and Continuing Education at the University of Western Ontario, and Colleen Kilty, Assistant Director for Professional and Personal Development in the Faculty of Part -Time and Continuing Edtication.
