Clinton hospital has received funding to hire a full time speech pathologist and the Goderich hospital's adrmnistrator.recom- mended at. the September meeting of the hospital board that this hospital do the same. Administrator Ken Englestad will be meeting with the administrator of the Clinton hospital and Betty Camino, Home Care program co-ordinator for the Huron County health unit to discuss the provision of speech pathology services with a view to improving the present level of service. The Huron County health unit has lost the services of their speech pathologist whom they recently hired and Goderich hospital is receiving enquiries regarding service to school aged children. The hospital is only providing service to pre- school children and adults at this time. The health unit is providing the service for school aged children. Englestad also told the board a study is currently underway to evaluate the emergency services available in Huron and Perth Counties. A committee has been struck with broad representation from hospitals, physicians, ,nurses, police, fire, ambulance etc. The study is being funded by the Ministry of Health and a project co- ordinator has been hired. In other business, the hospital's new director of finance was introduced to the board.
