welcomes new associate minister
The congregation of North Street United
Church welcomes to Goderich Mark and
Edith Richardson from Halifax, Nova
Scotia.
Mark has been appointed'by Huron -Perth
Presbytery as an Associate Minister to the
congregation. While sharing in the total
ministry of the church, including pastoral
care and the conduct of worship, his
primary duties will relate to Chrstian
education at all age levels, from children
through to adults, as well as the supervision
of mid -week and youth groups.
While Edith is a native of Ontario, and
graduate of Queen's University in Kingston,
Mark was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia,
where he received his undergraduate
degrees at Acadia University (B• ort,
Dalhousie Law School (LL.B.) and al post-
graduate degree in the Atlantic School of
Theology in the Master of Divinity program.
This appointment is the first fu 1 -time
team ministry for North Street Church in its
154 year history, and both Mr. Ball and Mr.
Richardson look forward to a strong and
fruitful association.

Goderich area farmer dies at age 75

Patrick Joseph McDaid, 75, of! RR2
Goderich, died on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 086 at
the Alexandra Marine and G neral
Hospital.
Son of the late Patrick Joseph McD id, of
Ireland and the late former Mary cFad-
den, of Ireland, he was born Mar. 24, 911 in
Letterkenny, Donegal, Ireland. A etired
farmer, he was also a member of St. Peter's
Catholic Church.
He was predeceased by his wife the
former Kathleen Jamieson and one sister
Grace Kavanagh.
Surviving are four daughters Mary' Mrs.
Bob DeMarco, of Sarnia, Grace, MrS. Bill
McKelvie, of Brantford, Bridget, Mrs John
Mathers, of RR2 Goderich and Nora Mrs.

Eunice May. Lamb,' 84, of the Huronview
Home for the Aged in Clinton, died Tuesday,
Aug. 26, l986 at her residence.
Daughter of the ' late Gordon Lincoln
Lamb, of Treadwell, Ont. and the late
former Elizabeth May Jackson, of
Newmarket, she was born Sept. 23, 1901 in
Treadwell.
A retired language specialist at the
University of Toronto, she was also a
member of Victoria Street United Church.
Surviving are one brother, A. Toynbee
Lamb, of Goderich and six nieces and
nephews including Elaine Collins, of
Marlette, Michigan, Leone Robertson, of
RR3 Auburn, Arnold Lamb and Donald
Lamb, of Colborne Township, Doreen
Garner, of London and Allan Lamb, of
Malton.
She was predeceased by two brothers and
one sister, one nephew Rruce•Lamb and two
sisters-in-law Annie M. Lamb and Jennie
Lamb.
