Wm. Craven at Christ Anglican Church, Sunday. Visitors were in attendance from Moose Factory and Kitchener. Rev. Craven will be conducting the services during August. The A.C.W. met Wednesday afternoon. The secretary's report, was read by Bessie Belinger, and the treasurer's report by Cora Cook. The July bazaar was very successfpl and a donation was made to the board to assist with the •B.uilding Fund. New windows, • eaves and drain pipes have been installed in the basement and the exterior and interior of the Church has also been painted. President Margaret Young appreciated the assistance of those who helped- by sen- ding sandwiches and squares for the lun- cheon served after the sesquicentennial ser- vice. All was very much enjoyed. The A.C.W. group could not have done it without your help. Guests with Norval knd Ruth Anderson luring the 150th weekend celebrations were Agnes Foster, Ruth's mother and Jack and Mabel Pitbaldo, all of St. Catharines, also their grandchildren Sharlene and Renate Halozan, of Markham. The girls' big thrill however was watching Grandpa Norval land a 13 Lb. - 13 inches long Chinook Salmon August 8! Mr. and Mrs. Ted Mclntee of Burton, Ohio were guests at the cottage of Mrs. Roy Banken, Goderich, and also visited the Jack Tigert and Aileen Tigert families of Port Albert. Visiting Randy and Patti Maize and daughter, Jeni over the 150th weekend were Bill and Betty Helesic of Goderich, Ron and Judy -Austin from Strathroy, Tammy McAstocken, Rich Fangaoli of London, and on Saturday, Phyllis and Emerson Rodger of Auburn, Clare and Linda Rodger and family, and Stacy Rodger, all of Goderich. On August 3, 35 members of the Lednor clan gathered at the cottages of Marg ana Bill Balkwill and Kay Fennell for a buffet supper. The occasion was to honour Agnes and Leonard Brentwood on their 45th Wed- ding Anniversary. "Brent" came from Bournemouth, England with the R °A.F. and was stationed at 31 A.N.S. Port Albert. They were married in Knox Church, Goderich, by Rev. David Lane. They reside in Hamilton. Also celebrating his 16th birthday was Robert Atthill. Robert is the son of Doug and Julie Atthill, Waterloo. Visitors with the Balkwills and Fennell family over the 150th weekend were Bunny and Karen Hutchison, Brampton; Joe and Anne Bills and family, guests Paul, David, Caro] Anne of Downsview; Julie Nightingale, Scarborough; Larry and Anne Gibson with Lisa, Amanda and Mat- thew; Donald Shuther and Marie Fennell, all of Hamilton; Mary Dickson, Toronto, Fred and Bennie Dickson and family, Stewart, Christine and Sonia of Brampton; Isobel and Kim Gutcher of Blind River, Doug and Julie Atthill and Robert, and Jean and Evelyn Atthill, all of Waterloo. Also the Brentwoods, Agnes and Len of Hamilton. It was a very busy weekend in the Port Albert area! Recent guests with Tom and Anne Liv- ingstone were Ina and Bill Chalk of Cam- bridge and Ethel Ilowski of Kitchener. Visiting Steve and Nancy Corkum during the long weekend were John and Bev Cor- kum and children, Julie and Donny. John . and Bev were kept busy bartending and parking cars at the sesquicentennial. Guests of Don and Darlene Bauer over the weekend were Rick and Laurel Bauer and family, Tobe and Freda Faulhafer and boys from Sebringville and Ken and Mary Scheerer and children from Goderich. Ken pitched in and helped wherever needed. Tom Dickson reports his steer was last seen on the farm of Jim and Donna Hayden. It's nice to see Glen Gardner back from his honeymoon.
