Enthusiasm and clear skies collaborated
to 'mark Sunset's annual Couples' Tourna-
ment as a success. Couples arrived from
several clubs including Barrie, Sarnia,
Kitchener and Markdale to play on the
lush course.
The prime con9tion of the course and
the quick greens proved to be equally at-
tractive to the Sunset's ducks. On one oc-
casion, one family paraded across number
nine green just as a couple was putting out.
Evelyn and Phil Evers of Kincardine
secured low gross of the day with a score of
161. Darlene and Vern Roluff of Whisper-
ing Hills' in Hanover. saw their way to low
net of the day.
Sunset winners included Mary Lynn
Telford and Howie Barker, Marilyn and
Frank Graham, and Joan and Bob
McDougaIl.
Following the tournament, the couples
were treated to a barbeque steak dinner
plus a wide variety of homebaked
desserts.
An extensive prize table was prepared
outside and following the relinquishing of
the prizes, Roz Elliott offered a preserit5-
tlon on behalf of Seagram's Co. Free
• samples of the newest coolers were provid-
ed just as the sun set on Sunset's Couple's
Tournament.
