Wilfred Frank Denomme of Goderich and
Joanne Marie Slater of Auburn were mar-
ried in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in
Goderich by Father Joseph Hardy on June
14, 1986. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Slater of Auburn and the
groom -s pareuis d.e Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred
Denomme of Goderich. Lisa Fritzley of Lon-
don, friend of the bride was matron of
honour and Patti Baechler, Brampton,
sister of the groom was bridesmaid.sDenise
O'Brien and Vanessa Yeats, both of
Goderich, nieces of the groom, were
flowergirls. Danny Smith of Goderich,
nephew of the groom, was ringbearer. Bill
Peters, Goderich, friend of the groom was
best man. Frank Slater, Auburn, brother of
the bride and Jeff Denomy, Goderich, friend
of the groom, were ushers. A reception
followed at the Candelig°hi Restaurant in
GrAlPrioh The couple are residing at 225

Sandra Freeman, daughter of Stan and Mar-
jorie Freeman of R.R. 2, Goderich, graduated
recently from the University of Western On-
tario with a Master's degree in Library and
Information Science. Sandra's spouse,
Richard Harkin, was also granted the same
degree. Members of their families attended
the Convocation ceremonies held in London
June 13, 1986. Sandra and Richard are work-
ing in Ottawa.
Joseph Clarence Moore, son of Tom and Bet-
ty Moore, RR 4 Goderich, graduated on
Jpne 11, 1986 from Ryerson Polytechnical
Institute, . Toronto, with his Bachelor of
Technology Degree in Applied Computer
Science. He is presently employed as a Com-
puter programmer for International
Destron Ltd. Toronto.

Liana Cheverie, daughter of Tom and Carol
Cheverie of 270 Ontario Street, Clinton, and
Robert McFarlane, son of Robert and Gerda
McFarlane of RR2 Goderich, were married
on June 20 by Karen Sturdy, Justice of
Peace, at the Go, Ierich Court House. Sue
Ching, of Brockville, was the maid of honor
and Jeff Leeming, of Seafo , was the best
man. A supper at the W ite Carnation
followed the wedding. The c uple took a trip
to Toronto and Cornwall for their honey-
moon and will reside at RR2 Goderich.
Dianne Bellchamber received her B.A. in
English during the past spring convocation
ceremonies. Moral support and encourage-
ment were provided by Nigel, Jason and
Jillene. Dianne is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Chisholm of Goderich.
Sherwood family history
presented at reunion
The twenty-fifth annual Sherwood-
Twamiey Reunion was held in the Belgrave
Women's Institute Hall on Sunday, July 20,
with a good attendance.
Myrtle Johnstone, president, welcomed
everyone after which a minute's silen6e was
observed in memory of those who are no
longer with us.
• On behalf of the group, Mary Thornton
pinned a corsage on her mother, Marie Mor-
rison in honour of/Mrs. Morrison's 90th bir-
thday which she celebrated recently.
A monologue, Mandy Goes to a Wedding,
was well done by Largaret McInnes and
much enjoyed by the gathering.

person present, Kevin Finnigan; running
race under three years, Nicholas Henry,
J.J. Finnigan; block •contest, J.J. Finigan;

Officers for the coming year are
honourary president, Marie 'Morrison;
, president, Evelyn Finnigan; vice-president,
• Lloyd Finnigan; secretary treasurer, Anne
McInnes; lunch, Mildred Henry and Grace
Finnigan; sports, Jim Finnigan; ice cream,
Dan and Anne McInnes.
As this was the twenty-fifth reunion of the
group, a draw which was in charge of Anne
McInnes, was made for two souvenirs, a
plate which was won by Mary Finnigan and
a mug which was won by Brenda Benson.
The family history committee, Myrtle
Johnstone, Jean Le Pine and Anne McInnes
was pleased to present the Sherwood Fami-
ly History titled Sherwood of .the _ Valley,..
compiled and written by Myrtle Johnstone.
Myrtle dedicated the book and told about
some of her experiences while writing it:
Considerable interest was shown in the
book. Copies were sold to those present. It is
hoped a Twamley family history will be
ready for next year's reunion.
Johnston and Baker reunion
held at Bluewater Beach
The Johnston and Baker reunion was held
at Bluewater Beach, at the home of Grace
and Arthur Johnston. Seventy five attended
(from Goderich, Nairn, London,
Thamesford, Barrie and Sarnia).
After hatch, the children held their races,
including a treasure hui'it which was won by
the blue team.:
In the .adult races, the balloon toss was
won by Lynne Dawson and Paul Sweet; the
jello eating- contest by Louise White and

Winning the blue ribbon for the best meat
dish was Margaret Garrett; for .the best
salad, Lynne Dawson and for the best
dessert, Olive Culbert. The youngest person
was Andy Brown and the oldest Olive
Culbert.
