Wood officiating. Matron of honor was Bonnie Hirst, of Stratford and bridesmaid was Bath Duddle, of Lindsay. Flowergirl was'Angela Dawn Skelton, of RR2 Goderich and ringbearer was Charles Michael Peter- son, of Goderich. Groomsman was Dennis Hirst, of Stratford and usher was David, Nelson, of Mississauga. Ethel Houston celebrated her 90th birthday in Huronview auditorium Sunday, July 13 where her two daughters, Beatrice Allin and Madge Oesch, 'grandchildren, great- grandchildren, sister Beatrice Young, Ruth Moran, London, and many friends, relatives and neighbours of the Stanley Township area, came to help celebrate. She received congratulatory messages from Governor- General, Jeanne Sauve, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, Ontario Premier David Peterson, MPP Jack Riddell and MP Mur- ray taardiff. Ronald Douglas Sproul and Nancy Marilyn Sallows exchanged marriage vows at First Baptist Church, Goderich on June 14, 1986. The service. was -conducted by Rev. Gil Kidd. The bride's parents are Edward anc Marilyn Sallows of Goderich and the groom is the son of Ron and Isabel Sproul also o1 Goderich. Maid of honour was Tracy Nelson of Goderich and the bridesmaids were Lori Sallows of Amherstburg and Debbie Prouse of Clinton. The groomsman was Paul Johnson of Calgary and the ushers were Tom Sallows of Stratford and Lance Hamilton of Goderich. The reception was held at• the Royal ' Canadian Legion in Goderich. Following a honeymoon to Niagara Falls, the couple are residing in Goderich. British postman was a Colborne native ROY CLAYTON MILLION Roy Clayton Million of Romford Essex, England died in London, England on July 21, 1986 at the age of 68. • A postman with the'British Postal Ser vice from 1948 until his retirement in 1983, he was a member of the United Church, Benmiller. He served , overseas during World War II. • Born in Colborne Township on January 24, 1918, he was a son of the late John Million and Minnie Breen. He is survived by his wife, Ivy Tonks and two sons, David and Bob, all of England. He is also survived by a brother, Benson of Port Colborne and a sister, Phyllis, Mrs. Kenneth McMillan of Goderich. He was predeceased by a brother, Dun- can and a sister, Kathleen Chambers. Funeral service and cremation will take place in London, England followed by in- terment - of cremains in Colborne Cemetery. • CLAYTON MILLION - Clayton Million, formerly of Colborne Township, passed away in Romford, England on July 21, 1986. Surving are one brother Benson of .Port Colborne and one sister Phyllis McMillan of Goderich. He was predeceased by a.brother, Duncan and a sister, Kathleen Chambers. She was the wife of Charles D. Dingman, former president and editor of The Beacon Herald of Stratford. Mr. Dingman died at Goderich in 1971. o Mr. and Mrs. Dingman spent their sum- mer weekends at Gairbraid, their summer home near Goderich. They are survived by three children, Stan- ford and Charles Dingman of Stratford, and , Susan Marion Burns of Toronto. There are eight grandchildren. East Wawanosh is to assist in construction of over 300 feet on Turnberry Street to Elizabeth and Goderich Streets. Auburn will pay for the cement and East Wawanosh will pay for tearing up the sidewalks. Several from the Auburn area attended the Colborne Township 150th birthday celebration on the weekend. Florence Steckley and her sister, Hilda of Stratford called on Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lawlor on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jardin of Kitchener spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jardin.
